* I got this book tag from fandomsontherun.wordpress.com
1. "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch"
Name a villainous character you couldn't help but love!
MANON. From Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas. Manon is literally my favorite character in the entire series so far. And she is DEFINITELY villainous! I know a lot of people thought her chapters were so boring in Heir of Fire, but they were what I looked forward to most. Still hoping something will happen in the future with her & Dorian because I love them both more than anyone else in those books!
2. "All I Want For Christmas is You"
Which book do you most hope to see under your Christmas tree?
Probably The Winner's Crime by Marie Rutkoski. That was my absolute favorite book of 2015 so far, and I don't own it! So I'm dying to have  that one on my bookshelf.
3. "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"
Name a character that overcomes major obstacles and learns to believe in themselves.
There's no way I CAN'T go with Juliette from the Shatter Me series. She grows more than any other character I can think of, and she starts off so unsure of herself. In the end, she's a hero!
4. "Santa Claus is Coming to Town"
Which character do you think would be at the top of the naughty list? Nice list?
NAUGHTY LIST: Khalid from The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh. I KNOW. Everything he does is for a reason. But Santa doesn't know a person's intentions, right? He just is able to see what you do. So from an outsider's perspective, Khalid is DEFINITELY naughty. I really do love him though.
NICE LIST: Rafe from The Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson. Specifically from The Heart of Betrayal. BECAUSE I LOVE RAFE SO FREAKING MUCH. There's not much I can say without spoiling things, but basically Rafe risks his life multiple times for Lia. I guess Kaden kind of does, too. But Rafe knowingly goes to his DOOM - likely torture and possible death - just to be there for Lia. I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM.
5. "Frosty the Snowman"
Name a book that just melts your heart.
I'm actually going to pick Crash Into You by Katie McGarry. I almost picked Anna & The French Kiss, but I think this one actually melted my heart a little more because of Isaiah! Isaiah is easily one of my favorite male characters EVER. He's adorable and I was just dying for him to find love! He deserved all the best and more! Isaiah, in general, just melts my heart.
6. "Feliz Navidad"
Choose a book that takes place in a country other than your own.
Oh good, I have another chance to choose Anna & The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins! This is probably my favorite contemporary. It takes place in France, obviously, so that's definitely not the U.S. If you haven't read this and you're looking for a great contemporary, READ IT NOW.
7. "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year"
Which holiday-themed book do you use to spread the Christmas joy?
The only holiday-themed book I can think of is My True Love Gave to Me by Stephanie Perkins. It's a collection of short stories written by 12 different YA authors and Stephanie put it all together. Basically it's adorable. I loved a lot of the stories and they really got me excited for Christmas!
8. "Sleigh Ride"
Which fictional character would you choose to spend the holidays with?
Dang, I already picked Isaiah for something! Oh well. There are TONS of characters I'd love to spend the holidays with! I think I'm going to pick... GANSEY from the book The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. Because he seems like a really sweet guy and loyal friend. Also, he's filthy rich and so obviously Christmas presents from him would be awesome... Does that make me horrible? Or just clever? ;) Haha. Either way, I really do like Gansey a lot.
9. "Baby, It's Cold Outside"
Which book that you didn't like would you sacrifice to a fire to warm yourself up in the cold?
Oh goodness. This is easy. Me & Earl & The Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews. I DESPISED that book sooo much. It kind of made me feel depressed, throughout the whole thing. And... that's never what I want from a book. Sorry, Jesse!
10. "Do You Hear What I Hear?"
Which book do you think everyone should read?
Absolutely, definitely, without a doubt everyone should read Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. I feel like this is the one book I can think of that could appeal to pretty much anyone. Especially nerds like myself and most other bookworms. (: This book is AWESOME. I highly recommend it, no matter who you are!
TA DA! That's the end of the Christmas Song book tag! I loved this one! If you do it too, comment with a link to yours - I'd love to see it! Happy holidays to everyone!
